Human Collective
This design concept was part of my studies in Ireland, an industry brief for an existing brand called Human Collective. With its established customer in mind, I designed the collection ELEVATION, a menswear and womenswear range that evolves the brand’s urban leisurewear aesthetic for the modern worker who needs versatility without compromise. It bridges the gap between comfort and corporate elegance, transitioning seamlessly from remote work settings (more popular since the pandemic) to traditional office environments.
The collection responds to the shift in contemporary work culture, where rigid dress codes have given way to more flexible, lifestyle-oriented approaches to professional attire. These pieces acknowledge that today’s professionals need clothing that supports active lifestyles, moving effortlessly between video conferences, client meetings, and after-work leisure.
The philosophy centers on minimalist principles. Clean lines and the equality-sign logo inspire shape and functionality, tying together the brand’s established visual identity. The result feels both timeless and contemporary, avoiding trend-driven embellishment in favor of architectural shapes and thoughtful construction. The elevated context doesn’t mean sacrificing the relaxed sensibility that defines urban leisurewear. Instead, it refines those elements through premium fabrications, considered tailoring, and subtle details that signal quality and intention. Each piece demonstrates that comfort and professionalism are matching values rather than opposing forces.
A sewn prototype was built from existing deadstock hoodies of the brand.
